Purpose: This exercise offers further practice in deciding whether a colon, comma or a semicolon is the appropriate punctuation in a particular position in the text.

Instructions: For each item, you will need to make several choices about which punctuation mark (or no punctuation, Ø) is correct in the context. In this exercise, you need to use American English conventions, although British variations will be indicated in the feedback.
