Recognising non-finite ‘-ing’ clauses
In this second exercise, you are asked to find and click on non-finite ‘-ing’ clauses in short texts.
Note that non-finite ‘-ing’ clauses differ from the -ing and -ed participle forms used as adjectives in reduced relative clauses in that non-finite ‘-ing’ clauses must always be separated
from the main part of the sentence by a comma.
Estimated time: 25 minutes.
